DSLR cameras are not cheap devices as they are sold for millions and not everyone can afford to buy them. Due to their relatively high price, it’s a shame if you can’t afford a DSLR.
However, we cannot be careless when it comes to caring for a DSLR camera. Because many components and parts are quite sensitive and should not be touched with bare hands.
Lens and DSLR Camera Cleaner Recommendation
How to Take Care of Your DSLR Camera and Lens With the right equipment, you can protect the camera body and lens from dirt and scratches. Therefore, for those of you who are new and inexperienced in caring for a DSLR camera and lens, it’s best to first get to know the types of equipment needed.
Here are some DSLR camera and lens cleaning tools that you can purchase at camera stores.
Blower
This camera cleaner is oval-shaped and resembles a rubber pump combined with a small pipe to release air. The blower is highly effective in removing dust and dirt from the edges of DSLR camera bodies and lenses that are difficult to clean with a brush.
Its usage is quite simple, you just need to press the rubber part to blow air onto the parts of the camera that need to be cleaned.
Lens Tissue
Next camera cleaning item is lens tissue. But not just any tissue can be used; it must be specifically designated for cleaning camera lenses. You can easily purchase it from camera stores or online shopping sites.
This tissue is designed specifically and softly to clean optical lenses from stains and fingerprints. When cleaning your DSLR camera lens, wipe in a clockwise direction from the outer edge to the center, and avoid pressing too hard to prevent scratching the lens coating.
Lenspen
Another DSLR camera and lens cleaning tool is the lens pen. This tool is shaped like a pen with two sides. The first part is a brush for removing dust, and the rest is made of a soft material, useful for cleaning fingerprints and water stains that stick to the lens optics.
Clean the lens optics again without applying pressure, and also clean components like lens filters and similar items.

Swab Kit
This tool is used to clean the camera sensor, and during use, you need to be careful because if a mistake occurs, your camera sensor could get scratched and damaged. If you are not entirely familiar, you should seek some guidance to avoid any mishaps with your camera. Choose cotton buds with a soft tip and handle. The cotton should always be clean and free from dirt.
Microfiber Cloth and Lens Cleaning Solution
The next cleaning equipment for cameras is a microfiber cloth and lens cleaning solution. Both can be easily obtained together from either eyeglass stores or directly from camera shops.
It is strictly forbidden to spray the solution directly onto the lens or camera body. Just spray it onto the microfiber cloth and then clean. Just like with the tissue, lens cleaning should be done with care, gently and without applying excessive force.
